Full Membership

  • receives online access to the quarterly Journal and other publications of the Association

  • eligible for other benefits as determined by the SEPA Executive Council

Associate Membership

  • receives online access to the quarterly Journal and other publications of the Association
  • eligible to attend the annual conference
  • invited to attend the business meeting held during the annual conference
  • eligible for other benefits as determined by the SEPA Executive Council

Supporting Membership

  • conference sponsorship ($100 minimum) qualifies for supporting membership benefits
  • receives online access to the quarterly Journal and other publications of the Association
  • eligible to attend the annual conference
  • invited to attend the business meeting held during the annual conference
  • receive recognition in the quarterly Journal for their support of the Association
  • able to request one set of mailing labels of the SEPA membership during the year of the supporting member’s membership
  • eligible for other benefits as determined by the SEPA Executive Council

Emeritus Membership

  • pays no annual membership fee
  • receives online access to the quarterly Journal and other publications of the Association
  • eligible to attend the annual conference
  • invited to attend the business meeting held during the annual conference
  • eligible for other benefits as determined by the SEPA Executive Council

Emeritus members will be selected based on the following protocol:

  1. candidates must be nominated in writing by at least three SEPA members in good standing
  2. written nomination should include a brief description of why the candidate should be considered
  3. basic qualifications for a candidate’s nomination are:
    • must be retired from the planetarium
    • have given at least fifteen years of service to the profession
    • should have done most work or made their contribution in the SEPA region
    • emeritus membership will be extended to individuals by the Executive Council
    • new emeritus members will be recognized at the annual conference and once a year in the quarterly Journal
